Collection: Solid Brass Shelf Fittings

Solid Brass Shelf Fittings

Our brass shelf fittings are CNC-machined from 100% solid, unlacquered brass — no plating, no coating. Each fitting is a structural component designed to connect pipes and rods into shelving systems, furniture frames, and display structures. Available in three pipe diameters and two finishes.

Pipe Diameters

15/32" (12mm) — The slimmest profile in our range. Creates a refined, lightweight visual presence. The preferred choice for residential kitchens, boutique retail, and any installation where the hardware should be seen but not dominate. Rods available up to 100" in a single piece.

5/8" (16mm) — The most widely specified diameter. Strikes the ideal balance between visual weight and structural rigidity. Works across residential, hospitality, and commercial contexts. If you are specifying for the first time and unsure which diameter to choose, start here.

1" (25mm) — The most substantial profile. Creates a bold, architectural statement. Used in large-scale installations, heavy-duty shelving, and spaces where the pipe system is intended as a prominent design feature rather than a receding frame.

Finishes

Unlacquered Brushed (Satin) Brass — A matte, warm finish produced by mechanical polishing with fine abrasives. The surface has a directional texture that diffuses light rather than reflecting it. Brushed brass shows fingerprints less readily than polished and is the more forgiving finish in high-touch environments. Over time it develops a soft, even patina.

Unlacquered Polished Brass — A high-gloss, mirror-like finish. Highly reflective and visually striking. Polished brass is more sensitive to handling — fingerprints and contact marks are visible — but cleans easily. It develops a warmer, richer tone as it ages. Commonly specified in hospitality and retail where visual impact is the priority.

Both finishes are unlacquered, meaning there is no protective coating between the brass and its environment. The metal responds to its surroundings — humidity, handling, light — and develops a natural patina unique to each installation. This is the defining characteristic of solid unlacquered brass and the primary reason it is specified over lacquered or plated alternatives.

Solid Brass Rods & Pipes

All fittings are designed to work with our matching solid brass rods and pipes. Rods are available cut to any length up to 100" in a single piece — for longer runs, two sections joined with a Type A connector is the standard approach. The same three diameters and two finishes are available across all rods, pipes, and fittings, ensuring a consistent appearance throughout a completed system.

All components ship disassembled. Assembly requires no specialist tools — fittings clamp onto rods using set screws included with each fitting.
