Since 2020, Mavi Metalworks has been crafting premium shelving systems using solid brass for interior designers, contractors, and design-conscious individuals. We proudly serve customers across the USA, Canada, UK, Germany, and Japan, offering custom-made shelving units that combine aesthetics with durability.

Our passion lies in working with brass—a timeless, living metal that evolves beautifully over time. We do not use any paints or coatings; instead, we embrace the natural patina that develops on unlacquered brass, making each piece uniquely yours.

What is the lead time for production and shipping?

Our standard production time is 1 week, with shipping typically taking 3-4 days. If you need faster production, please contact us to discuss expedited options.

Do you sell brass rods that match the finish of your fittings?

Yes, we offer brass rods that perfectly match the finish of our fittings, ensuring a cohesive look for your project.

What is the maximum carrying capacity of the brass shelving?

Our shelf brackets are designed for secure attachment to the bars/pipes, with each shelf supporting between 100 lbs and 120 lbs. Please note that the load capacity also depends on the strength and type of wall to which the unit is mounted.

What is the maximum length of the brass rods you sell?

We offer brass rods and pipes up to a maximum length of 100 inches. For lengths exceeding this, the rods are shipped in separate pieces to be assembled upon arrival.

How are the products shipped?

Our products are shipped disassembled to ensure safe delivery. Assembly is straightforward and instructions are included.

How can I clean the brass frame?

Our brass products have a living finish and will naturally tarnish over time. To clean and restore their shine, we recommend using Flitz orBrassoproducts.

How Can I Prevent Handprints During Installation?

The brass we use for our products is solid, live metal, which means it will naturally develop a patina over time. This patina process enhances the beautiful tones in the metal, giving it a unique, aged appearance. However, if the brass is touched with bare skin too soon, fingerprints and oil marks can transfer to the surface, detracting from its natural look.

How to Protect Your Brass Products:

To prevent fingerprints and oil marks from affecting your brass products, follow these steps:

• Wear Gloves: Use nitrile or latex gloves when handling and installing your brass items.

• Avoid Bare Skin Contact: Refrain from touching the brass with bare skin for the first two weeks after installation. This allows the brass to oxidize properly, creating a protective layer that shields it from skin oils.

By taking these precautions, you can ensure your brass products maintain their intended appearance and develop a beautiful, natural patina.
